Biographies

Education is our core interest and many of the staff have come from backgrounds in teaching, training and school support services.

Doublestruck has been in the business of producing educational software for more than 10 years

Laura Lassman is founder and Chief Executive of Doublestruck and is responsible for the development of Exampro and Testbase software. She has worked closely with QCA, Edexcel,  AQA and educational publishers to deliver assessment software for teachers. 

Jerry Podmore, Director of IT, worked for many years in computer education in England and in International schools in Spain and Germany where he served as Director of IT . Jerry uses his international understanding and practical experience of technology in education to design systems that reflect teaching practice.

Fernanda Mazara runs the data preparation department that is responsible for the capture and classification of all materials included in Testbase and Exampro working closely with subject specialists to inform the development of each database. .

Other staff in London provide, project management, promotional support and web expertise across all the projects. Doublestruck also has its own distribution centre near Newcastle upon Tyne.

Doublestruck's online resources are hosted and maintained by our office near Frankfurt-am-Main, Germany. 

Salvatore Giacinto, originally from San Diego, California, has wide experience of web-enabled database applications and network infrastructure planning. Sal has worked with Doublestruck on interactive assessment and marking systems and is responsible for the administrative systems that underpinned the World Class Tests.
